Knox-Lincoln SWCD 2010 Annual Meeting & Awards Banquet

Thursday, November 4, 2010

The Annual Dinner and Meeting of the Knox-Lincoln Soil and Water Conservation District is scheduled for Thursday, November 4th at the North Nobleboro Community Hall on Upper East Pond Road.  This meeting provides an opportunity for cooperators, District officials, resource conservation specialists and others to meet and review the past year's activities, as well as to discuss current conservation thoughts and issues.  It also provides a forum for the District to formally recognize those groups or individuals who have contributed in a significant way to local resource conservation efforts, either by adopting specific land practices or by promoting other activities which heighten awareness and concern for local conservation needs.

Dinner is scheduled to begin at 6:30pm followed by brief reports from USDA/NRCS & FSA and presentation of the District’s Annual Awards which will include a number of local businesses, volunteers and community members who will be honored for their significant contributions toward conservation and natural resource enhancement in Knox and Lincoln Counties. The Teacher of the Year Award will be presented in recognition and appreciation of outstanding work with students to educate them about our natural resources and help them become good stewards of the environment.

Join us for a celebration when we show our appreciation to those individuals who’ve supported the District and helped to maintain our local conservation programs. Together we’re confident to remain a strong source of information and assistance to natural resource conservation challenges.

Tickets for door prizes will be given at the entrance.  Pre-registration is required and reservations are now being accepted. The cost for the dinner is $15 per person. Please Click Here to print out this year's registration form, stop by the district's office at 191 Camden Rd (Route 90) in Warren, contact District Office Manager Katherine Ward at 273-2005 Ext. 101 or send your request by email to kathy.ward@me.nacdnet.net
