    Morning Session: 8:30 am to 12:00 pm

    8:30-8:45—registration/arrival/coffee

    8:45-9:45 David Roque, Maine State Soil Scientist, ME Department of Agriculture Conservation & Forestry: Effective non-traditional practices to repair roads, some of which are his own design.

    9:45-10:00—Coffee Break

    10:00-11:00 Peter Coughlan, Director, Maine Local Roads Center, Maine DOT: Gravel road basics 101; grader drivers vs operators; fixing mud; good vs bad gravel; winter plowing; technical resources.

    11:00-12:00Dustin Dorr, Maine DEP: Rules and Regulations to remember and a special focus on stream crossings

    12:00-12:30—Break for lunch—included in registration fees

    Afternoon Session: 12:30-2:30 pm

    Includes 2-3 site visits to nearby gravel roads to evaluate road conditions with experts from morning session.
