Join Georges River Land Trust, Knox-Lincoln Soil and Water Conservation District, and the City of Rockland Parks and Recreation's Department for a hands-on invasive species workshop at the Rockland Bog Overlook Trail!

Are you interested in learning about invasive species and helping to remove them in the Rockland Bog?

In this workshop, participants will learn to identify and remove common invasive plant species in Maine. This workshop will feature education about invasive plants and hands-on experiences pulling them.

This workshop is free and open to everyone who is interested! No prior experience removing invasive species is needed. Participants should be prepared to walk over uneven terrain with some elevation and roots. Good walking shoes and long pants are recommended. Everyone should bring water and gloves. Loppers are recommended to anyone who has them.

This event is cohosted by Knox-Lincoln Soil & Water Conservation District, Georges River Land Trust, and the City of Rockland's Parks and Recreation Trails Committee.
