177-A Pear,                Bell Z4. Early season. Bell is resistant to fire blight with good productivity and harvest timing like Bartlett. Vigorous and about 30% larger than Bartlett. The fruit is smaller than that of Bartlett, averaging 2.3 inches in diameter and 3 inches in length. It is a yellow pear with an attractive splash of red color on the exposed side of the fruit. The attractive appearance, intense flavor, and sweetness of Bell makes it  popular in the early season.

  • All fruit trees are 2-year-old bareroot stock, 1/2”-3/4” caliper, ~5’-6’ tall.

  • Apple and pear trees are typically planted with the graft union 3-4” above soil line, unless noted. Always allow for settling
