Forest Trees of Maine

The Centennial Edition of Forest Trees of Maine was published by the Maine Forest Service in 2008. The 6" x 9" book has 176 pages and includes summer and winter ID keys, glossary, index, and descriptions of 78 tree species, all but a few native to Maine.

Tree habit, bark, leaves, flowers and fruits, twigs and wood characteristics are described for each species as well as color photos, distribution map and the 2008 Maine Register of Big Trees entries, as well as historical photos and information.
